Summary of the Rally Poland 2019
Organized around Mikołajki from 28 to 30 June 2019, the Rally Poland is the fourth round of the ERC, and certainly one of the fastest. 23 competitors are competing in a very diversified R5 class (RC2), including four C3 R5s, ready to fight a fierce battle on the land of special events, with averages sometimes exceeding 130km/h.
After a first super special on Friday evening, won by Jari Huttunen, the rally really starts on Saturday with 8 ES on the programme, divided into two loops. C3 R5 confirmed from the outset its high level of performance on land, allowing A. Lukyanuk (Citroën C3 R5) to take the lead in the rally. At the end of the first day, the Russian rider of the Sainteloc team was in the lead, with a comfortable 40s lead, having set seven scratch times.
In the second stage, the C3 R5 driver, although he suffered a puncture during ES 11, will increase his lead and win the rally with a master hand, thus signing his first ERC victory in 2019.
