Citroen C3 R5 1 - 2 at 2019 Rally Mont-Blanc !

Yohan Rossel, Citroën Racing official driver in the 2019 French Rally Championship, won his fourth race of the season in a row in the Citroën C3 R5. He won ahead of Yoann Bonato (Citroën C3 R5) and increased his advantage in the championship.


2019 Rally du Mont-Blanc Morzine highlights

Organized around Morzine from September 5th to 7th, 2019, the Rally du Mont-Blanc Morzine is the sixth round of the French asphalt rally championship. 19 competitors are involved in a very diversified R5 class, including five C3 R5 with Yohan Rossel (PH Sport), Yoann Bonato (CHL Sport), Laurent Lacomy (CHL Sport), Philippe Greiffenberg (CHL Sport) and Stéphane Rodriguez (PH Sport).

 

Yohan Rossel, who currently leads the championship, started the rally on a good rythm and won the first four stages. Quentin Giordano (Hyundai R5) is second while Yoann Bonato (Citroën C3 R5), local driver and second in the championship, is a surprising fifth. The Deux-Alpes driver pulled himself together in SS5 and SS6 and climbed to second place. At the end of the first day, the two Citroën C3 R5 drivers lead the rally, with seven stages won out of eight. Yohan Rossel - Benoit Fulcrand are ahead of Yoann Bonato - Benjamin Boulloud for 16,7s.

 

During the first loop of the second day, the two C3 R5 drivers extended their lead in the rally, allowing them to manage their comfortable advance in the last loop. Yohan Rossel - Benoit Fulcrand (Citroën C3 R5) win their forth consecutive win of the season ahead of Yoann Bonato. Yohan Rossel now leads the championship with a 62 points gap on Yoann Bonato, with three rallyes to run before the end of the season.

During the 2019 Mont-Blanc Morzine rally, Citroën C3 R5 won ten out of the fourteen stage, with 8 stages for Yohan Rossel and 2 for Yoann Bonato.

On the three other C3 R5 engaged, Laurent Lacomy finishes 10th, Philippe Greiffenberg 14th and Stéphane Rodriguez 16th.
